Final shot of my very improvised Halloween costume with crazy Joker's lipstick, flour hair and professional GF eye make-up

If you wonder why I dedicate this article to my - you might think rather poor - Halloween look, you have to understand that Halloween is still not very popular in Germany.

The entire costume was also just created last-minute, out of my reluctance to open the door for kids in my normal street wear. In previous years we didn't even had candy ready. Ever. Only this year I remembered in time and bought some. But that was it. Nothing else was prepared. No make-up nor costume what so ever.

So, once it decided that I needed a change, everything had to go quickly. We were running out of time until I would be swamped in potential masses of children, all desperately longing for my candy. This shows once again how far off one's prediction of the future can be - but more on that in a second.

I forced my girlfriend to apply her well trained make-up skills in the most twisted way possible (and here I mean forced - at first she didn't want to make me up at all). The result was not too bad in my opinion, but it is slightly apparent that she usually applies everything in a more subtle way (and I am very thankful for that :) ).

Anyhow, once my eyes had shadows and looked very reddish-tired, I fooled around with her most expensive lipstick and floured my hair for final touches.

An old shirt that was always to big for me, experienced a short but violent adjustment and while still evaluating the outcome, I spotted the Ketchup - harr.

Long story short, I was more than ready. Not to mention the flash light setup I put in place and which I could trigger remotely. Of course there was also creepy music playing next to the entrance door. Then I waited. And the masses... didn't come. The bell rang a total of 4 times, while once nobody even appeared at the 2nd floor, because they didn't make the effort to climb the two staircases.

Anyhow. I had my fun and also took some pictures :)

The setup I used to shoot those is slightly visible here. Main light source was a softbox on my right side with a reflector on the other to bounce some light to the other side of my face too.
